Dimond Kick's off partnership with Papamoa FC

We’re excited to announce the kick-off of our new partnership with local Bay of Plenty club Papamoa Football Club (Papamoa FC). Our partnership with Papamoa FC will initially support the Junior grades, however, we have no doubt that as our relationship grows with the Tauranga based football club, so will our partnership.

Andy Gorrie, Area Sales Manager, at our Dimond Roofing branch in BOP says, “It’s a great club and is one of the fastest-growing in New Zealand. We also wanted to become more involved with our local community here in Tauranga and Papamoa was a great fit because of its current size and potential growth.”

Andy continues, “It’s great for Dimond to be associated with the junior side of the club, we will have our brand on signage, in newsletters, and on the Papamoa website, so the local football community will know that we support them and therefore may come to us for their roofing supplies also teaming up with current sponsors Mike Greer Homes, Grassroots Trust and ReDefined Fitness to support the club is a great fit and will play part in growing commercial interest and brand recognition in the region.”

Additionally, as part of our partnership with Papamoa FC, Dimond is the naming right sponsor for the Junior teams and will promoted by the club internally and externally as a partner.

Equally excited for Dimond’s new partnership is Maaka Nelson, President of the Papamoa FC, who says, “It works well, Dimond Roofing is a great company, with a base in Tauranga, and their values and interest in the community attracted them as a potential sponsor.”

Maaka adds, “Dimond is now involved with the juniors, which is a really important part of the club. We value their partnership, and hope that it also works for them, and helps them grow their business in the Bay of Plenty.”

Supporting local is a core part of our sustainability initiative at Dimond and we’re excited to have Papamoa FC on board as a part of this journey.
